COVID-19

Masking Update_ February 3, 2022

While the Government mask mandate lifts on June 11th, 2022, the Centre for Family Medicine will still require masks for patients and staff.

We have listened to the health experts and consulted with our partners within the health care sector, including public health.  In consideration of the fact that our clinics are frequented by people who are acutely ill, that we have many medically vulnerable people attending our clinics daily, and need to keep our HHR staffing levels in place, patients and patient-facing staff will continue to be required to wear a medical mask when in our clinics.  If you do not arrive with one, it will be provided.

It is important to help maintain our staffing levels, and to care for you, that we keep masks in place. We will continue to review our policy and make changes as needed.

We are asking for your kindness to our staff in all interactions as we enforce this for all of our patients. If you choose not to wear a mask, we ask that you not challenge this requirement with our clinic staff – instead, we invite you to choose a virtual option for your appointment.  You may request this when you call in to book your appointment.
