Your health care provider will give you either a “Pink” slip and/or a green pamphlet with the telephone number to call to book an appointment for therapy or counseling.  It is your responsibility to arrange this appointment.

If you have access to an Employee Assistance Plan or benefits that cover therapy we suggest you access them first.

If you are in crisis call the Waterloo Region distress line: 519-745-1166 or go to the emergency department at Grand River Hospital.

Also available if Here 24/7. This service is your front door to the addictions, mental health and crisis services provided by 12 agencies across Waterloo-Wellington-Dufferin. All you need to do is reach out to them. They do the intake, assessment, referral, crisis, waitlist and appointment booking work for these important programs. It’s their job to be your guide, figure out your needs and help you navigate the system.  This leaves you free to focus on maintaining hope and pursing recovery.
