Mental Health Services

Have you been referred to our Mental Health Services by your family physician?

Patients of the Centre for Family Medicine as well as Twin City, Waterloo Region, Central KW and Westside Family Health Organizations have access to up to 8 therapy sessions covered through the Ministry of Health. This means you do not have to pay for your therapy here, it is covered under your health card. If you do not show up for an appointment or cancel without 24 hours notice your no show appointment will be counted as 1 of your 8 sessions.

A referral from your family physician is required to begin your therapy process. Once your referral is completed it is your responsibility to arrange your appointment, please call 519-578-2100 ext. 209 to schedule your intake session.

If you have access to an Employee Assistance Plan or benefits that cover therapy we suggest you access them first through an outside counselling agency. You can search for local counselling agencies online.

Please note we do not provide crisis services.
