As a clinical teaching site with McMaster University, The Centre for Family Medicine offers a unique teaching environment within a Family Health Team. This teaching program contributes to the quality of care provided to patients of the Family Health Team, and provides training and learning opportunities, based on a collaborative care model to new family physicians in Ontario.
For more information about a rotation at The Centre for Family Medicine please contact your university.
To conduct a clerkship elective/international elective at the Centre for Family Medicine FHT (CFFM) in your final year of training, you will first have to make application through McMaster MD Electives office: http://macmdelectives.ca/utme/index.cfm or through the University of Western Ontario (UWO): http://www.schulich.uwo.ca/medicine/postgraduate/electives
CFFM is an approved site for electives in family medicine for both McMaster and UWO. Once you have been approved by either program, you can request CFFM as your preferred elective site. We cannot approve a rotation until your request has been processed by either university and cannot guarantee a spot for you in advance of this process.
